About the Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade within a semi self-contained classroom. This role is ideal for an educator with passion, structure, and a strong commitment to students with moderate to severe disabilities, including those with diverse cognitive, behavioral, developmental, and social-emotional needs. You’ll join a collaborative school community that values inclusion, individualized learning, and meaningful progress for each student. Key Responsibilities + Deliver specially designed instruction to K–2 students in a semi self-contained setting. + Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliant documentation and measurable goals. + Support students with a range of needs: autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, developmental delays, speech-language impairments, and more. + Utilize differentiated instructional strategies and evidence-based interventions tailored to moderate-to-severe needs. + Collaborate closely with general education staff, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families. + Foster a structured, nurturing environment that supports academic, behavioral, and social growth. + Implement behavioral supports and data-driven decision making.
