Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking to hirea Certified Special Education Teacher to providequality services to special education students anywhere from kindergartenthrough grade 12, through a commitment to team participation in planning andimplementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorialassistance and consultation with general education staff. Key Details:

Schedule: Monday – Friday Typical Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Pay Rate: $45 – $60/hr. but negotiable Dep. On Exp. Weekly paychecks Paid Time Off

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members. Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum. Serves as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff. Monitors student progress, participates in review and revision of student’s IEP, as appropriate. Maintains accurate student records  Mentors and supports teaching assistants who provide support to students with disabilities  Assess students’ skills and educational needs and tracks student’s performance Communicates to maintain positive relationships with students and their parents  Follows School District policies and procedures Other Special Education Teacher related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university – (emphasis in appropriate field preferred). Transcripts Preferred. State SPED Teacher Certification Required; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, and Standard Special Teaching preferred. Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred. Full command, verbal and written, of the English language. Recent TB results and/or chest X-ray.
