Special Education Teacher

Position Overview: 

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student, which includes creating goals, objectives, and outlining the necessary special education services. Provide research-based specialized instruction and employ various teaching techniques to help students achieve their IEP goals. Assess and monitor student progress to determine the effectiveness of instructional strategies and implement necessary adjustments. Partner with a child study team and other staff members to develop instructional goals and strategies to coordinate the best approach to deliver special education services.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree (Required) Master’s degree (Preferred) Active TN Teaching license with Special Education endorsement (Required) Knowledge of SPED practices and experience with behavioral/emotional disabilities (Required) 2+ years of Teaching experience, particularly in urban or charter school environments (Preferred) HQ status or strong content background in relevant academic areas (Preferred)
