The Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to K–12 students under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator. This role includes delivering individualized and small-group instruction, supporting IEP goals, providing tutorial assistance, documenting student progress, and collaborating with general education staff to promote student success across academic, behavioral, and social domains.

Location: Oregon City, OR
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Duration: 4 months (through June 12, 2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (approx. 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)
Pay Rate: $56/hour (local)
Modality: In-person

Details of Assignment:
+ ERC Special Education Teacher (Elementary Level, K–5)
+ Caseload: 36 students
+ Serving students with a variety of mild to moderate disabilities
+ Instructional focus: academic support, meaningful inclusion, functional skill development
+ Supported by a multidisciplinary team, including school psychology, speech therapy, OT, PT, autism specialists, learning specialists, and student services staff
+ Virtual interview required
Responsibilities:
+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
+ Manage a caseload of 36 K–5 students within an ERC setting
+ Implement academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
+ Document services, progress notes, and modifications
+ Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and general education teachers
+ Support meaningful student inclusion when appropriate
+ Maintain compliance with all educational and professional standards
Requirements:
+ Active Oregon Teaching License
+ Special Education endorsement required
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Preferred certification types:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ CPR certification if applicable
+ TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Submittal must include:
+ Updated resume (PDF)

+ 4–5 sentence summary of relevant SPED experience
+ Specific start date availability
+ At least three specific interview availability windows
+ Agreed-upon pay rate
+ Local/Travel status
