Overview
We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to support kidos in a self-contained classroom serving 2nd–5th grade students with emotional disabilities. The ideal educator brings strong behavior-management experience, delivers individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals, and collaborates closely with educational teams to support academic and social-emotional development.
Position Details
+ Location: Roselle, IL
+ Pay Rate: $45/hr
+ Hours: 37–40 hours/week
+ Setting: Self-contained classroom
+ Grade Levels: 2nd–5th
+ Caseload: Emotional disabilities
+ Start: ASAP
+ Contract: Remainder of the school year, may renew
+ In-Person: Yes
Responsibilities
+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
+ Support kidos’ academic, behavioral, and emotional growth
+ Utilize effective behavior-management strategies
+ Collaborate with general education and related services staff
+ Maintain documentation per state and regulatory guidelines
+ Participate in IEP planning and communication
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate per state/contract requirements
+ LBS1 endorsement preferred
+ Teaching experience preferred
+ Behavior-management experience required
+ CPR (if applicable)
+ TB/PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (if required)
+ Meets all federal/state/local regulations
+ Must be at least 18
