Special Education Teacher – $54/hr (Local) | $2,288/week (Travel) – Colorado Springs, CO – In-Person – 17 Weeks
Position Overview:
We are seeking Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality academic and behavioral support services to K–12 students across mild, moderate, and severe needs settings. This role includes planning and implementing individualized programs, providing direct instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success throughout the school year.
Assignment Details:
+ Location: Colorado Springs, CO
+ Start Date: 02/23/2026
+ End Date: Approximately 17 weeks
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday
+ Hours: 37.5 hours per week
+ Pay Rate: $54/hour (local) or $2,288/week (travel package)
+ Modality: In-person only
+ Openings: Multiple positions across elementary and high school levels
Responsibilities:
+ Provide specialized instruction across mild to severe needs settings
+ Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and student support plans
+ Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
+ Deliver direct instruction and interventions aligned with student needs
+ Maintain accurate student documentation and uphold professional standards
+ Communicate regularly with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required
+ Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (required)
+ One year of teaching experience preferred
+ SPED endorsements such as LBS1 preferred
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB screening and health certificate per state guidelines
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
