Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Marion, OH – 20 WeeksPosition Overview The Special Education Teacher provides instructional and support services to special education students in grades K–12. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role focuses on implementing student programs through collaboration, special instruction, and consultation with general education staff. Assignment Details + Location: Marion, OH + Start Date: January 26, 2026 + Duration: 20 weeks + Schedule: Monday–Friday + Hours: 35.5 hours per week + Pay Rate: $50/hour + Modality: In Person + Travel Requirement: None Responsibilities + Provide special education instruction and academic support + Implement and support IEPs and student learning plans + Collaborate with general education teachers and support teams + Participate in planning and implementation of student programs + Maintain compliance with state and federal education requirements Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and contract regulations + Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred + State Teaching Certification (preferred): + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred + Compliance with all professional standards of practice + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate per contract or state regulation + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Compensation Notice The pay rate listed represents a good-faith estimate based on position requirements and location.
