Salary: $1787 / Week The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff. Details of the Position Include: Location: Methuen, MA Duration: 3 Months to start - potential to extend Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 2:30pm Requirements: MA DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour based on experience Details : + Direct instruction and formulate academic and behavioral objectives for students. + + Design and implement individualized programs for the emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, and behaviorally disordered students in their classrooms. + Prepare written academic summaries, and attend and present reports at case conferences and annual student evaluation meetings. + Collaborate with public school personnel regarding the formulation of educational plans and the reintegration of students into the public schools. + Meet regularly with therapists to review the progress of students in all areas. + Participate in a regular program of in-service training. + Supervise teacher assistants. .
