Special Education Teacher (Life Skills Program) Location: Litchfield Park, AZ Start Date: January 11, 2026 Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week Employment Type: Contract Duration: 36 weeks Pay Rate: $50 per hour Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to students with special needs in grades K–12. This role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation. Key Responsibilities + Deliver instruction for students in a Life Skills program (grades 3–6). + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). + Provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse needs. + Collaborate with educational teams to ensure student success. + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred). + Valid state teaching certificate (Special Education endorsement required; Alt Cert accepted with relevant experience). + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred). + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred. + Current CPR certification (if applicable). + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable). + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation). + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. + Must be at least 18 years of age.
