Special Education -Resource Math - Elementary
Job Posting: Special Education Teacher – Resource Math (Grades 2–3) Location: Glendale, AZ Position Type: Full-Time Start Time: Students begin at 8:00 AM About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve in a Resource Math setting for students in 2nd and 3rd grade. The ideal educator will provide targeted academic support, implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborate with general education teachers, and deliver specialized math instruction designed to meet diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities + Provide direct math intervention and resource support for students in Grades 2–3. + Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals. + Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies for students with mild to moderate disabilities. + Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff. + Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. + Engage in ongoing communication with families to support student growth. + Participate in professional development and schoolwide initiatives. Required Qualifications (Arizona Requirements)Education Requirements + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Requirements include: + Completion of a traditional special education preparation program, Arizona Board-approved alternative program, or qualifying teaching experience plus coursework.
