Job Summary
The Space Planner position is accountable for the successful planning and execution of assigned category resets by designing best-in-class planograms and ensuring the timely completion of major milestones within reset project plans. As the primary Space Planning point-of-contact for assigned departments, the role requires effective communication and cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders from Merchandising, Enterprise Analytics, Procurement, and third party partners.Job Description
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Space Planning, Merchandising, Retail Operations, or a related disciplineExperience Desired: Expertise as a user of space planning software (e.g., Blue Yonder), familiarity with basic data analysis and reporting, experience coordinating projectsEducation Desired: Bachelor's degreeJob Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all category reset activities within assigned department(s), ensuring successful completion of category reset projectsDesign gold standard planograms by partnering with Merchandising, Enterprise Analytics, and vendor partners to develop shelf presentation strategies that optimize space allocation and customer shopping experienceServe as the organizational Space Planning subject-matter-expert within assigned department(s) by developing foundational knowledge across all departments that interact with space planning: Merchandising, Retail Operations, Enterprise Analytics, Procurement, Technology Systems, etc.Lead test sets to ensure gold standard planograms meet quality expectations and reset projects can be completed within budgeted labor hoursCollaborate with Sr. Manager and peers to continually improve existing processes by increasing efficiency, integrating analytics to improve decision making, and minimizing errorsEnsure planogram issues are resolved quickly and accurately, while diagnosing root causes to prevent similar errors from occurring againAccountable for planogram data integrity and ongoing maintenanceSupport the development of the annual reset planning schedule by providing consistent updates on project importance, scope, and complexityAttend store visits to deepen market, category, and product knowledgeAssist in the testing and application of supporting technology, systems, and toolsAbout Us
