Manager of Space Optimization
What will I be doing?
As the Complex Manager of Space Optimization and Revenue Management, your mission will be to maximize hotel revenue through strategic and efficient management of event and group space. You will work closely with the Directors of Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Catering to ensure space allocation and sales align with the hotel’s commercial strategy and financial goals.
Your key responsibilities include:
Analyze demand, occupancy, and booking trends to identify revenue maximization opportunities through optimized use of group and event space.
Collaborate with Sales and Events teams to develop space allocation strategies that drive profitability, including adjusting dates, space types, and configurations based on demand.
Participate in daily business reviews and reporting, providing commercial intelligence to support revenue-maximizing decisions.
Oversee the release and reassignment of unused or underutilized space to enable additional bookings and generate incremental revenue.
Conduct post-event analyses comparing contracted space versus actual usage and actual spend versus minimum guarantees, delivering insights to improve future planning and revenue.
Maintain and update group coverage calendars and space configurations to reflect projected demand and support revenue strategy.
Collaborate on periodic reviews of commercial and revenue strategies, adjusting targets and tactics to maximize financial performance of space inventory.
