Through hands-on leadership and direction, this role is responsible for efficiently managing departmental operations in accordance with the needs of guests, core practices and local market trends, optimizing Colleague & Guest experiences. **Salary range: $73,000 - $75,000/year** Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Responsible for overall leadership and management of Orrin Spa, Health Club and Ginger Bar. · Recruit, manage, coach, train, motivate, recognize and Spa and Health Club Colleagues. · Create and release team schedules while closely manage labour and productivity. · Implement strategies to effectively manage labour costs, generate additional revenues, control operational costs and enhance profitability while evaluating the day-to-day needs of the operations and maintaining the highest level of guest services to company, Forbes and AAA standards. · Formulate spa policies and procedures and ensure compliance to all hotel policies, programs and core practices. · Maintain contact with guests, actively seeking feedback on their experience, treatments and services offered at the Spa with a goal to build business through positive relationships. · Respond to inquiries or guest feedback and resolve issues while demonstrating empathy and concern for our guests at all times. · Ensure the Spa, Health Club and Ginger Bar are maintained in accordance with luxury standards, demonstrating impeccable standards of safety, cleanliness and upkeep. · Maintain excellent knowledge of all treatments provided in the Spa, including products and treatment origins and keep up-to-date on industry trends, luxury spa standards, guest satisfaction, competition and local business climate. · Responsible for overall retail merchandising, including ordering, inventory and retail/sales training for Colleagues. · Assist with preparing annual business plans, forecasting and marketing plans in conjunction with Hotel Manager, Director of Operations, Area Director of Finance, Marketing Manager and Director of Sales, Marketing & Events. · Provide input on marketing promotions and effectively direct communication efforts within the department. · Ensure an ongoing emphasis and focus on luxury service standards in every guest interaction, particularly aligned with Forbes and AAA. · Foster a strong culture of colleague engagement within the team, driving for results while motivating and leading with professionalism. · Ensure the seamless integration of the Spa, Health Club and Ginger Bar into overall hotel operations in a cohesive fashion. · Undertake other ad hoc job-related responsibilities as required Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards. Whether its career opportunities, job enrichment or a supportive work environment; if you are ready for this challenge, then we are ready for you. **Qualifications:** · Minimum 3 - 5 years of previous leadership experience in a similar capacity within a luxury spa or hotel environment is required. · Previous experience in managing a team within a luxury hotel in the Rooms Division (Front Office or Housekeeping) is an asset. · Sound understanding of Forbes and AAA service standards is an asset. · Previous experience with Book4Time, Microsoft Office is preferred. · Motivational, hands-on leadership style with a genuine interest in service excellence is essential. · Valid certifications in both Serving it Right and FoodSafe Level 1 is required for this role. **Visa Requirements:** Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
