**SOX Financial Controls & Government Accounting Compliance Analyst** We're seeking a SOX & Government Accounting Compliance Analyst to manage and evolve our internal control and compliance programs. The role primarily focuses on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, with growing responsibilities in government contract compliance (FAR/DFARS). This is a great opportunity for someone with SOX (Financials Controls) experience who is ready to expand into the government contracting space. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring compliance with both financial and government regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** SOX & Internal Controls + Lead SOX compliance activities, including risk assessment, control design, testing, and remediation. + Partner with business teams to document and maintain process controls, narratives, and flowcharts. + Perform regular control monitoring and recommend improvements. + Act as liaison with internal/external auditors and coordinate SOX audit requests. Internal Controls & Risk Management + Design and maintain an effective internal control framework. + Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans. + Drive process improvements and automation initiatives. Training & Communication + Educate teams on SOX requirements and internal control best practices. + Communicate regulatory changes and compliance updates across the organization. Government Compliance (FAR/DFARS) + Support compliance with defense contract regulations by maintaining key documentation (e.g., Disclosure Statements, FPRs, Incurred Cost Proposals). + Perform variance analysis and research discrepancies. + Act as liaison between auditors/analysts in support of audits and other customer reviews. + Help build and implement policies to align with FAR/DFARS. + Work cross-functionally with legal and contracts teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Reporting + Maintain compliance documentation and prepare reports for leadership and audit committees.
