We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Archaeology Program Manager based in the US. The Archaeology Program Manager will provide support to cultural resource projects throughout the Southeastern United States (e.g., Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland) and across the United States. The Archaeology Program Manager will have extensive knowledge of archaeology data collection methods, data analysis, and data interpretation, demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory environment, high-level technical writing skills, and the ability to direct and mentor staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Serve as an AECOM Archaeology Program Manager and supervise southeastern terrestrial archaeology team. + Mentor staff in all aspects of archaeological investigations and regulatory compliance. + Lead growth of AECOM’s archaeology program in the Southeast. + Liaise with Business Line leads and Project Managers to support cultural resource needs in the Southeastern US and nationwide. + Work with CRM Department Manager and other CRM Deputy Department Managers to lead and grow department and support growth of CRM Department staff. + Serve as a Principal Investigator and Project Manager and have experience preparing Work Plans, designing research and field methodologies, directing field crews including scheduling work, making individual or teamwork assignments, and leading the instruction of others in the use of equipment, technology, and field methods, performing and overseeing data interpretation, overseeing report production, and making determinations of eligibility and client recommendations. + Scope archaeological projects and prepare technical and cost proposals. + Provide regulatory compliance support for Federal, state, municipal, and commercial clients. + Support all phases of archaeological investigation and regulatory compliance. + Write, prepare, and edit archaeological reports and make decisions about project alternatives, NRHP evaluations, and assessing effects on historic properties. + Work with technical field, lab and office staff, managers, and administrative staff to ensure that projects meet AECOM quality standards + Have ability to perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 50 lbs. and have a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain or marine vessels in a wide range of weather conditions. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education. + Registered Professional Archaeologist + Completion of a university-based archaeological field school. + Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience (e.g., Senior Archaeologist). + Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required. + Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. **Preferred Qualifications** + MA, MS, or PhD in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field + Demonstrated experience writing and editing technical reports and papers. + Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (ESRI Products), Global Positioning System (GPS), Total Station, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Statistical Analysis (ex., SAS or SPSS). + 8+years of experience preferred + Experience with Federal clients + Experience with Department of Defense clients + Experience with urban archaeology + Experience with preparation of Memoranda of Agreement and/or Programmatic Agreements **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position + Sponsorship is not available for this position Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
