Chubb are investing in our Industry Practice model to drive mid-market growth. The ambition is to enhance existing practices and launch new ones. We are building specialist teams within Chubb that have a deep focus on an industry across multiple risk areas. A Technology Underwriter is required to form a key part of Chubb's France Technology Underwriting Team, specialising in Cyber, Professional Indemnity and Fire risks for Technology companies. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Technology Industry Practices in France.
Role Purpose:
Technology Underwriter required to form a key part of Chubb's France Technology Underwriting Team specialising in Cyber, E&O and Fire for Technology companies. The successful candidate contributes to the growth of the Portfolio with key Brokers and Clients, whilst maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the French Technology Manager to drive production opportunities, including strategies to achieve the growth ambitions within Chubb’s Industry Practices.Develop and execute strategies. To expand the Fire and Property underwriting portfolio within the Technology sector.Financial Goals. To underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.Leadership. Demonstrates strong leadership skills in directing and placing business; insured and broker relationships; development of team members in broader understanding of product expertiseBroker Management. To represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers, internal and external clients. This will involve servicing key brokers and Technology clients, monitoring business acquisition and retention as well as maximising cross-selling opportunities.Procedures. To meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business, peer review and compliance issues.Chubb Representative. To represent and promote Chubb and maintain a permanent contact with internal colleagues and clients as well as major Technology clients.Technical Ability. Provide technical knowledge for underwriting/marketing and portfolio management; serves as a resource regarding unique coverage needs within the evolving Technology SectorSkills & Experience required:
Multiline underwriting experience across Fire, Tech E&O, Cyber & Casualtyknowledge of the Technology sectorUnderwriting capabilitiesStrong working knowledge of the insurance market and competitorsResults driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiativeBroad business skills – communication, organisation, IT, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to execute and influence at all levels both internally and externallyFluent English – native French
