We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef – Pastry to support our pastry operations and lead the team in delivering high-quality desserts and baked goods. This role is ideal for a skilled pastry professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for creativity and consistency.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Pastry Chef in overseeing daily pastry kitchen operations
Supervise and train pastry staff to ensure quality and efficiency
Prepare, produce, and present pastries, desserts, and baked goods to standard
Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation quality
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Assist with inventory control, ordering, and minimizing waste
Step in to lead the pastry department in the absence of the Pastry Chef
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or senior pastry role
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert production
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
High attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
