About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be instrumental in the day to day running of the kitchen operation to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. You will be a supportive and coaching leader that guides the culinary team to ensure smooth effective guest experiences.
Along with this, you will play a vital and hands on role in continuing the success of Lennons Restaurant Bar and our outdoor terrace venue, Hibiscus Room Restaurant and Bar.
This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional Culinary career within a vibrant and purposeful growth focused, international company.
Main Responsibilities
Along with the Executive Chef, you will evolve culinary standards specific to our hotelwhich meets and exceeds the expectation of the hotel’s guests.
Training and development of all team members, communicate clearly at all times and hold regular meetings with team to share inspire and develop
Assist the Executive Chef with management of rosters and payroll costs
Ordering and stock control, considering all times local produce and supporting local suppliers to enhance our local community in our company’s purpose of care.
In conjunction with Sales Marketing, plan and execute promotional activities for all FB Outlets, events and promotions ongoing
With the Executive Chef, focus together on Hyatt’s Top 20 fundamentals in FB
Create a workforce that sees the recruitment, development and retention of Hyatt’s future talent
Support the Executive Chef in all HACCP requirements
Requirements
Relevant experience in a restaurant and or 5-star hotel environment
Proven experience in leading and developing others
Relevant degree and or certification in cookery
Experience in HACCP standards and procedures
