The Pem is our signature restaurant here at the Conrad St James London. Dedicated to the pursuit of culinary excellence using the best of local British ingredients. We’ve quickly built a strong reputation for elegant flavours using seasonal-led ingredients, locally produced. Since opening, we’ve won an array of awards including ‘One to Watch’ at the National Restaurant Awards 2021.

What will I be doing?

\n\n\n\nManage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative functions\nManage the provision of food to Food and Beverage outlets and taking action where necessary to ensure compliance with current legislation\nAssist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner\nEnsure foods are of good quality and stored correctly\nContribute to menu creation by responding and incorporating Guest feedback\nEnsure the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets\nManage customer relations when necessary, in the absence of the Head Chef\nEnsure resources support the business needs through the effective management of working rotations\nSupport brand standards through the training and assessment of the Team\nManage the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organized, motivated Team\nControl costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets\nAssist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships\nComply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation\nReport maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues\nBe environmentally aware\n\n\n\n

What are we looking for?

\n\n\n\nAspires to achieve great things and can has ability to lead a team\nExperience in Michelin starred kitchens\nExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills\nPassionate about food and fine dining\nCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service\nAbility to work under pressure\nIntermediate food hygiene qualification\nFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situation\n\n\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\n\n\nPrevious kitchen experience in similar role\nPassion for food\nKnowledge of current food trends\nAdvance food hygiene qualification\nHigh level of IT proficiency\n\n\n\n
