Job Description

Position Summary

You will be a people manager role leading the new product introduction and Lifecycle management team. Accountable for NPI sourcing and Industrialization activities planning, encompassing developing product line sourcing strategy. Guide sourcing process improvements, interface with Strategic Sourcing Commodity teams and collaborate with team member to meet the NPI project targets. You will Develop and upgrade team's capabilities and performance.

You will report to Sourcing manager in Singapore.

Position Summary

You will be a people manager role supporting the new product introduction and Product Lifecycle Management team. Accountable for NPI sourcing for assigned programs and will have a team of buyers reporting to them accountable for all buying related to NPIs and product redesign activities. Will partner with Industrialization planning and develop product line sourcing strategy for assigned NPIs. Guide sourcing process improvements, interface with Strategic Sourcing Commodity teams and collaborate with team member to meet the NPI project targets. Develop and upgrade team's capabilities and performance.

Important responsibilities

NPI and Industrialization Process

Lead early supplier technical engagement and supplier involved NPI cost improvement activities. Support NPI team's product cost targets.Interface and build relationships with, Development Engineering, New Product Producibility Engineering, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Industrialization Planning, Component Engineering, Team Management, Operations Management, Marketing and Finance.You will Promote NPI sourcing process improvements through elimination of variation and waste, focusing on process improvement.Reduce product risk through proper sourcing strategy execution.Create use of 'Preferred' suppliers. Provide NPI team with supply chain risk assessments which include obsolescence, delivery, currency, logistics, political and other risks.You will Measure sourcing strategy execution impact on the product and the business (i.e. product cost reductions achieved, percent of parts awarded to 'Preferred' suppliers, lead time improvement, risk mitigation).Integrate and improve Industrialization process activities with the global strategy

People and Talent Management

You will Grow the Sourcing talent base in the team.This is a leadership role with responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, results and metrics.Develop performance goals and conduct performance reviews with direct reports. Participate in career planning discussions with each direct report through scheduled one-on-one meetings.Facilitate a culture in which everyone can do their best work through inclusion, engagement and retention.Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organisational goals.

Integration with SSO (Strategic Sourcing Organization)

You will guide Sourcing process improvements through elimination of variation and waste, focusing on process improvement.Lead the Supply Chain Assessment and guide NPI Supply Chain Readiness in Rockwell Automation's Common Product Development (CPD) process.You will Help establish supply management parameter guidelines with buyers and planners. (i.e. production authorization agreements, lot size, lead time, logistics, packaging)Ensure familiarity with procedures relating to NPI Sourcing and standards of business conduct.Comply with all Rockwell Automation procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements

Degree in Engineering Preferred, Supply Chain or equivalent technical discipline.Minimum 5 years of Procurement Project Management, Product Launch or Supply Chain operation management experiences.Project Management (PMP) certification required.SAP experience and lean process experience desired.

Travel

You will travel (< 20%) to Rockwell Automation and supplier locations
