You will be responsible for Buying and Fulfillment of Valve parts being part of India Procurement Management Center of Excellence (COE). In this role you will follow an individual work plan, manage global stake holders & suppliers, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action and long- term planning. Coordination and timely communication between all the stakeholders involved and suppliers is a very important characteristic of the role. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects related to parts supplier management and execution, monitoring parts availability from global factories, productivity and quality: supplier negotiation to PO execution, new part sourcing, owning supplier delivery schedule, ensuring accuracy along the PO-to-receipt cycle

As a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement, you will be responsible for

Floating RFQ/Inquiry to potential global suppliers for Casting, machining & Catalogue partsDriving Deflation, Savings and BCC penetration while optimizing supplier base, able to drive should cost analysisPerforming strong negotiations with suppliers on techno-commercial aspects and aligning terms of purchase favorablyAssessing supplier capabilities and reviewing detail manufacturing schedule/ GANTT ChartsEvaluating & monitoring supplier performance thru monthly/weekly scorecardsConnecting with Site Material, Engineering, Project team on shortages while identifying and implement process improvementsProactively communicates with stakeholders on critical parts review, readiness dates and documentationManaging Push-Out and Pull-In of ordersOrganizing parts pick up while reducing overall logistics costs with timely deliveriesEnsuring control of orders, dates management, shipping notices while keeping system updatedCo-ordinating & resolving supplier payments related issues while leading from frontDeveloping risk mitigation strategies including contingency plans, lead-time reductions and supply chain efficiencyPossessing knowledge of Inco terms, EU and US regulatory and import requirements

Fuel your Passion

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Be an Engineering graduate / Diploma holder from an accredited university or college with 4-7 years of experience in Sourcing preferably from Mechanical/Industrial Engineering background.Have prior experience with Valve manufacturing is desirable and know-how of foundry process is an add onHave ERP experience with SAP OR Ariba will be advantageousHave sound business acumen and understanding of Inventory, planning & quality related activitiesHave hands-on and ability to handle multiple priorities in a high demanding, international environmentHave strong quantitative, data analysis and presentation skillsHave good interpersonal and leadership skillsHave technical expertise and Risk Assessment CapabilityHave strong communication skills and ability to connect with stakeholdersProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Demonstrate highest level of IntegrityAbility to communicate effectively (Daily/weekly) with Baker Hughes Global supplier base in different time zones
