Sourcing Manager
Description Robert Half is looking for a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our client's team in Maryville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities, develop purchasing strategies, and ensure the efficient sourcing of materials to support manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with vendors, negotiate contracts, and implement best practices in corporate procurement. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs. • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to contractual agreements. • Coordinate purchasing activities, including planning and execution, to meet operational requirements. • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers aligned with company needs. • Negotiate contracts and proposals (RFPs) to secure favorable terms and conditions. • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain quality and timely delivery. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals. • Utilize SAP and SouthWare Excellence Series to manage procurement data and reporting. • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and industry standards. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency. The position is 100% onsite and will require someone to live in and around the Knoxville area. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing management within a manufacturing environment. • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. • Proficiency in SAP and SouthWare Excellence Series systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong knowledge of corporate procurement practices and purchasing strategies. • Proven experience in contract negotiation and proposal management (RFPs). • Excellent ability to manage vendor relationships and external partnerships. • Solid understanding of purchasing policies, planning, and management processes.
