Job Description
The Sourcing Lead independently manages sourcing projects across multiple categories, negotiates with suppliers, and collaborates closely with client stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills and plays a key role in delivering cost savings and process improvements for client procurement operations.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing Execution
+ Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including strategy development, RFx execution, supplier evaluation
+ Develop sourcing plans aligned with client goals, timelines, and compliance requirements.
Supplier Negotiation & Management
+ Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value improve
+ Manage supplier performance and support issue resolution in collaboration with client teams.
Category Insight & Analysis
+ Analyze spend data, supplier capabilities, and market trends to inform sourcing strategies.
+ Identify opportunities for cost reduction, consolidation, or innovation within assigned categories.
Client Engagement
+ Serve as a sourcing advisor to client stakeholders, providing regular updates and insights.
+ Facilitate stakeholder alignment and manage expectations throughout the sourcing process.
+ Drive and influence customer decisions relative to the project determinations.
Process Improvement
+ Recommend and implement improvements to sourcing processes, templates, and tools.
+ Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Project Leadership
+ Build project plan, timelines, and expectations for various projects as assigned to drive completion with partners.
+ Direct resources that are supporting the various projects to complete key tasks and meet timelines.
Qualifications
+ 4–7 years of sourcing or procurement experience.
+ Proficient in sourcing tools and contract management.
+ Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
+ Experience working in a client-facing or managed services environment.
+ Procurement certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
Additional Information
This position is open to North America locations outside of California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Washington and Maryland.
