Sourcing Associate
Job Summary The Sourcing Associate supports the Sourcing Manager and collaborates with Novant Health business owners to implement and execute sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals. The Sourcing Associate will have full ownership of specific categories and vendors within a shared sourcing portfolio and will support the Sourcing Managers across additional categories and supplier relationships. You are bringing valuable sourcing experience, negotiating for the best price, navigating supplier competition, and creating relationships with vendors. Key Responsibilities: + Own and manage assigned sourcing categories and vendor relationships. + Support Sourcing Manager in broader category/vendor initiatives. + Participate in and support all phases of the sourcing lifecycle, including: + Data collection and analysis + Go-to-market strategies and execution (e.g., RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) + Drafting, redlining, and negotiating contract terms + Operational implementation and ongoing vendor relationship management + Collaborate cross-functionally with business owners and internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies meet business needs. + Ensure compliance with internal policies, third-party risk management, and strategic sourcing best practices. + Additional Skills (preferred): + Strategic sourcing or contract management experience in a healthcare setting. + Data analytics. The ability to clearly present data and ideas in both verbal and non-verbal fashions, and is able to write clear summaries of work, which identify key issues and offer solutions. + Demonstrate strong ability to work within a team environment. + Lead and facilitate productive discussions with other team members, stakeholders and vendors to achieve a consensus in a professional manner. + Recognize and explain the need for compromise. Qualifications + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. + Experience: 2-5 Years of experience in the areas of supply chain, contracting and/or sourcing. (Preferred) + Additional Skills (required): + Effective decision maker with the ability to exercise independent judgement in a wide range of scenarios. + Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work. + Ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Demonstrates high level of aptitude in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. + Must possess a working knowledge of contract terminology and basic contracting processes. + Acute attention to detail & accuracy. + Ability to manage challenging relationships (internal & external), multiple/changing priorities and drive results using available resources. + Responds to requests and resolves in a timely manner. + Commitment to quality. + Ability to work under pressure in achieving tight deadlines.
