Sourcing Specialist — CAD

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Team: Information Technology / Chemical Analysis Division (CAD)

Identify and size savings and risk-reduction opportunities for CAD.Produce executive-ready analytics and dashboards that drive sourcing and NPI decisions.Automate reporting so teams get reliable insights faster.Build and maintain self-service dashboards and executive reports (Power BI / Tableau / Looker).Own end-to-end data workflows: extract, clean, transform, validate and document sources from ERP, PLM, QMS, TMS, and others. Use SQL and ETL tools.Produce recurring and ad-hoc analyses: spend & savings, TCO, supplier performance, lead-time and risk scoring, tariff and inflation exposure, and scenario modeling.Build forecasting and scenario models (demand, inventory, supplier capacity) and run sensitivity / what-if analyses.Automate manual reports, remove error-prone Excel procedures, and document data lineage and assumptions.Lead analytics projects for senior leaders and present clear recommendations with trade-offs.Support category teams: size opportunities, prioritize actions and prepare supplier business reviews.Be the reporting SME for Procurement analytics: promote dashboards and build user confidence.Mentor junior analysts and review their work to raise team capability.Partner with Finance, Category Leads, Quality, Engineering and IT to align assumptions and embed analytics into decision points (NPI gates, supplier selection, contract renewals).Apply statistical methods and practical machine learning (segmentation, anomaly detection, regression) when it adds customer value.Define and protect canonical datasets; track data confidence and lineage.

Quallifications

Bachelor’s degree (Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics or related) or equivalent experience.4+ years of hands-on analytics experience in commercial, industrial or regulated settings.Strong SQL skills (complex queries and performance tuning).Experience demonstrating skills with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and dashboard development.Python or R proficiency for data manipulation and modeling (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn preferred).Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling).Experience building automated reports and describing data lineage and assumptions.Clear communicator able to present to senior partners and translate insights into actions.Experience supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, NPI or Supplier Quality analytics.Knowledge of SPC, process capability, or warranty/field-failure analytics.Familiarity with SAP/Oracle, Snowflake/Redshift, dbt or Airflow.Experience with automation tools (Alteryx, KNIME) and version control (Git).Exposure to forecasting and anomaly detection models.Background in life sciences, analytical instruments or regulated manufacturing.Certifications: CBIP, Microsoft Data Analyst, Tableau Certified or similar.
