Duties and responsibilities related to the Sommelier role
Provide personalised recommendations and guidance to guests on wine selection, ensuring an exceptional and memorable dining experience.
Oversee thestorage and rotation of wine inventory, maintaining optimal conditions for aging and serving.
Attend regular wine tastings and educational sessionsto enhance your understanding of wine.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine wine pairings for seasonal menus and special events.
Stay updated with industry trends and new wine releases to continuously improve the wine program.
About you
Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment or luxury hotel is highly desirable. A minimum of WSET Level 2 certification is required.
