The Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program will be reengineering
business processes, performing data interface/integration services, implementing a single,
integrated system, and leveraging commercial software to conduct transportation, financial, and logistical operations for approximately 36,000 users.
GDIT is seeking a Solution Architect SME well skilled in defining both the end-state and transitional system architectures to include parallel operations with legacy systems which may be sunsetting.
HOW a Solution Architect SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Responsible for the design and adaptations of technology architectures and testing software integration within the designs to ensure functionality.Align technology solutions with business objectives, providing technical leadership, documenting architectural decisions, and mitigating project risks.Optimize performance, maintain security and compliance, and estimate project costs.They bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, delivering scalable, efficient solutions that drive organizational success.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:Master’s degree in computer science or related field.Required Experience:12 years of related experiencePreferred Skills:At each phase the Solution Architect shall evolve the transitional architecture as time progresses and phases go live validating the accuracy of the architecture and updating accordingly upon each release.The Solution Architect will define the end-state architecture to be consistent with the Enterprise Architecture, as well as deliver their notional System Design Diagram, to include proposed software/hardware products.The Solution architect will document the overall end-state design of the materiel solution, configuration, customization, hosting, and interfaces, and design reviews for initial end-state design, and for each phase.Security Clearance Level: Active DOD SecretLocation: Onsite – Scott, AFB
