Solutions Engineer – Manufacturing Software (South America)
Siemens is looking to fill a permanent position for a Solutions Engineer to work within the Senseye Predictive Maintenance team. Senseye Predictive Maintenance is an industry-leading cloud-based solution for predictive maintenance that was acquired by Siemens in 2022. With cutting-edge machine learning technologies, it empowers industrial customers to minimize unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance operations, and enhance the sustainability of their manufacturing processes. Through our bespoke web application, we offer a comprehensive overview of production equipment, highlighting assets in need of maintenance attention and delivering valuable insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
Due to the acquisition enabling rapid global expansion and strong client traction, the company is seeking to engage a Solutions Engineer with a proven track record in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, to help accelerate growth by working closely with the sales team to secure the company’s position as the market leader. Over the next two years, the company has ambitious plans which the selected Solutions Engineer will be passionate about realizing.
This is a remote, home-based role, though you will be expected to travel and spend a reasonable proportion of your time with clients in and outside of Central and South America. This is a senior role, offering considerable freedom and autonomy. You will report directly to the Head of Solution Engineering and work with colleagues in sales, marketing, and product delivery. As the South American market continues to grow, there will be exciting future promotion opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Work as an integral part of the Sales team providing support for the sales function within the business, which includes technical qualification, solution design, bid support, and delivering client solutions.Understand and perform technical suitability analysis on client environments, assets, data, infrastructure, and maintenance activities.Determine, articulate, and document the technical scope and costs of sales opportunities.Work closely with the Product Management and Development teams to ensure current and future customer needs are met.Work closely with the Marketing department on furthering sales and marketing material generation.Attend external meetings with the account management team and clients to provide technical representation and help identify technical solutions for client needs.Build and promote strong, consultative, and long-lasting customer relationships.Embody company culture.Key experience include:Fluent in written and spoken English language (essential).Educated to a strong degree level or equivalent in Engineering.Comprehensive experience in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.Well versed in industrial maintenance activities and practices.Traditional Condition Monitoring experience is desired.Proven track record of technical pre-sales activities in selling B2B software to large multinationals.Familiar with microservices architectures and cloud-based software products.Familiarity with basic data analysis and data loading.Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.Strong business sense, industry expertise, and entrepreneurial attitude.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; positive and enthusiastic.Familiar with Software as a Service business models.Familiar with Industry 4.0 and the Industrial IoT (desirable).Familiar with factory floor automation (desirable).Desirable:Spanish fluency (primary).Portuguese fluency.
