What you’ll do

The essence of the Solution Design Architect role in the Digital is to design the architecture of multipleplatforms and the evolution of all the systems that we have in the Digital Engineering for demands raised byVodafone Group and Local market commercial teams.
The specific responsibility concentrates on the evolution and optimization of the existing platforms as well asthe integration of further markets and services, ensuring that all the relevant stakeholders are involved duringthe definition of the solution and supporting the delivery, quality assurance and operation teams.
The Solution Design Architect is part of the distributed agile team with specific responsibility to:

Define solution architecture and implementation architecture.Align requirements and design with impacted teams across Vodafone Group Technology.Write the High-Level Design specification that is the input for the offshore development team.Align requirements with impacted teams across Vodafone Group Technology and local markets.Define the Architectural Runway for the service, which provides the necessary technical foundation fordeveloping business initiatives and implementing new features and/or capabilities.Ensure non-functional requirement (Security, Privacy, Resilience, Continuity, etc) are factored into designs.The Solution Design Architect will work closely with the Product Manager, Technical Product Owner and QAto make sure that the platform meets the needs of the business within the boundaries of the architecturalroadmap and strategy.Implementation of Proofs of Concept (PoC) both internally for local market and for the Vodafone Group.Be innovative.Assess demand raised by Group and Local market commercial teams, manage the feasibility and proposeinnovative ways to implement the marketing requirementsDesign of technical components and optimization in conjunction with third parties and in line with Vodafonestandards, this includes:Infrastructure architecture.Software architecture.Security requirements.Data models and analytics requirements.Connectivity to other services enablers.Interfaces specification (APIs).Technical expert contribution to the technology selection process and make or buy decisions insynchronization with Technology standards.Accountable for the architecture runway of the services in line with the product roadmap.Lead integration projects for existing and new markets and services including knowledge sharing and end toend integration design.Who you are Strong communication skills and ability to act as technical SPOC interacting with other teams, Vodafonemarkets and external partnersStrong experienced in design and development of highly scalable, robust, distributed systemsProfound experience in application architecture and hands-on developmentExcellent knowledge of web-based and service based architectures (REST), cloud oriented architectures(AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and OpenStack) and micro-services patternsDeep knowledge of cross-platform architecture, technology and platforms (e.g. Web / Android / iOS / etc.)Good knowledge of (web) security standardsAbility to lead development and make architectural and implementation decisions, in a distributed teamFluency in the English languageNot a perfect fit?
