Your New Role…

WBD Monetization Technology team is looking for a Solutions Analyst with excellent problem solving, business process analysis, functional design, and client relationship skills to be a member of a world class technology team, delivering and supporting solutions for the Motion Pictures division. 
 

The Solutions Analyst, Motion Pictures Monetization, will work with Product teams and will contribute to solving business problems by identifying and gathering business needs and requirements, designing & evaluating solutions and help in their implementation.   

The resource will contribute to providing operational support and ensure quality of the solution delivery across our monetization solutions portfolio. Requires knowledge of & experience with traditional Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies as well as hands on experience in business process analysis and documentation techniques, functional design thinking and communication (verbal and written), and client relationship skills. Knowledge of the Theatrical Marketing & Distribution business and experience with the Media and Entertainment industry are a plus. 
 

Your Role Accountabilities…

Business Relationship: You are the trusted technology partner for multiple Motion Pictures stakeholders. You act as translator / communicator to them and various internal and external technology and development teams. 

Product Team Member: You will regularly participate in technology initiatives, where you will be required to wear one or more hats: Facilitate - Business requirements elicitation and documentation, Solutions analysis and design, QA, Change Management and End User Training and adoption. 

Technical Member: You are not a developer, but you are a contributor for some technical obligations of the applications/systems/products you are assigned and will support the engineering and other technical teams to quickly resolve issues. 

Qualifications & Experiences… 

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required in Information Systems or related field. 

College coursework or working experience in two or more of the following areas: Business Administration/Operations, Business Information Systems, Computer Science/Software Engineering 

High degree of drive and curiosity to learn day-to-day business operations with view on process improvements & optimization and solution orientation. 

High Proficiency writer: Able to create accurate, organized, concise, and directive software development artifacts (Business Requirements, Functional Specification, Process Flows, User Experience flows, mind maps, User Stories, etc.) that are understandable by both business experts and software developers. Participate in the review process of these artifacts. 

Able to create / contribute to creative documents / decks (Project Proposals, Technology Recommendations, User Guides, etc.) that tell a compelling, persuasive story that drives key decision-makers to a clear conclusion with both language and visuals. 

High Proficiency with the following tools: Excel (pivots, macros, formulas, etc.), Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Miro, SharePoint/Teams Sites (or similar cloud productivity tools) 

Understanding of software design, architecture, and development including: Software Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, etc), Systems and Data Architecture , Systems Integration 

An understanding or interest in the entertainment industry including: Film/Theatrical distribution and release process, Campaign-based marketing, Creative asset workflows 

Not Required but preferred experience: 

3+ years of prior experience as a Solutions Analyst on any sized project

3+ years of prior experience working in Theatrical Distribution or a Media & Entertainment company

Previous work experience with: Business process analysis and functional design, Business process reengineering, Technology assessment and application, Process, System, and Functional documentation, Financial/Managerial Accounting and reporting processes, Project Management practices and tools, Information and Security practices and standards, Testing methodologies and automation 

Technical experience/skills in: Figma, Sketch, or other UX/UI design tools, Agile tools such as JIRA, Data designing and modeling / SQL

Collaboration – Leverage and include business users, consultants, vendors, etc. to get tasks done as quickly and efficiently as possible. 

Design Thinking – Design technology, processes, and services based on what you know the business needs, even if they cannot articulate it.  

Data Analysis – Maximize the value of the data we generate to help the business meet their goals. 

Interested in Getting More Technical – You may not want to be a software engineer, but you are excited to build technical skills to make you a better Solutions Analyst.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $75,180.00 - $139,620.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
