We are seeking an energetic and collaborative technologist who can help contribute to the technical design and architectural direction of in-flight and upcoming solutions. As a Solution Engineer, you’ll be part of the Enterprise Architecture team and report to the Architecture lead, identifying solutions and leading technology implementation projects.
Solution Engineers will work with our Product teams and the Enterprise Project Management team as a technical SME for go-to-market solutions, work with potential vendors and develop the solution delivery roadmaps for each project. Also, Solution Engineer will participate in determining the systems, services, and interfaces, validate technology assumptions and evaluate alternatives. This position requires a balance of leadership, technical acumen, customer focus, and strong communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities
Participate in the planning, definition, and high-level design of project, product or program solutions and explore solution alternatives. The results of which you will present to an Architecture Review Board (ARB).Identify impacted business capabilities, functions, and processes and record findings in the enterprise architecture repository.Partner with business colleagues in vendor selection and translate business needs into technical requirements.Work with architectural stakeholders, fellow IT colleagues, and vendor partners to establish high-level solutions.Create solution artifacts such as design models and other forms of documentation.Help validate the WAFD impact of design decisions.Work with portfolio stakeholders and the Enterprise Architect team, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of the solution requirements.Work with Project Management to determine the capacity allocation for enablement work.Adapt and modify existing designs and implementations as new technology, processes or information becomes available.Define, explore, and support the implementation of the solution.Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.Avoid all real or perceived conflicts of interest and always maintain client privacy and confidentiality.Perform other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT engineering, systems integration, or application development.Experience in financial services or regulated environments preferred.Experience working with cloud services (preferably AWS), including serverless computing, API gateways, and storage services.Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation and solution models.Strong understanding of secure system design and architecture practices.Familiarity with integration techniques such as REST APIs, file transfer automation, and low-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus.
