The Solution Designer (Techno-Functional) will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring that payment solutions meet functional requirements while adhering to technical standards. This hybrid role requires strong domain knowledge in high-value payments and hands-on experience with modern technology frameworks.
Your future duties and responsibilities:- Translate business requirements into detailed solution designs.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Design solutions for payment processing platforms, including Payment Services Hubs and payment engines.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SWIFT, Lynx wire payments, and ISO20022 standards.
- Atleast 5-7 years of experience as a Solution Designer/Consultant (strong Techno-functional expertise)
- Have experience of providing guidance to technical teams, creating executive decks independently and are well versed at presenting to executives
- Experience working with business and architecture teams to develop and design technology solutions is essential to this role
- Strong knowledge of high-value payments ecosystem (SWIFT/Lynx wire payments)
- Solid experience with a variety of technologies/frameworks including event-driven architecture, REST APIs, microservice architecture, CI/CD processes, DevOps pipelines, etc.
- Knowledge of ISO20022 payment standard and payment processing platforms (Payment Services Hubs, payment engines)
- Nice to have: knowledge of Industry Payments Modernization initiatives (Global and Canadian)
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
