What you'll do:

You will be accountable for 

Collaborating with internal stakeholders across property, operations, technology and others to understand, define, and agree on business requirements. Gathering operational requirements, analysing design data and metrics, and developing integrated layouts to maximise capacity and operational efficiency.  Use engineering and industry insight to influence outcomes by educating others on the opportunities and limitations of different technologies or approaches. Create or support business cases to enable the roll out of future automation solutions into the Logistics & Fulfilment networks. Lead, or support our 3PLs, with the integration of smart automation technologies to streamline operations, reduce manual effort. Create future warehousing designs that maximize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. Provide technical advocacy and assurance through detailed assessments of design against requirements. Ensure alignment of building design and building fabric with the detailed design of the automation. Ensure appropriate simulation and emulation analysis to ensure transparency of benefits.  Consider equipment options, resilience, and redundancy. Support operational testing and provide post-go-live support to troubleshoot and implement improvements.

 

Who you are:

You are a highly skilled and experienced professional with a deep understanding of operational design, processes, and logistics fulfilment solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in engineering design and project management. Strong understanding of automation technologies and their applications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
