The consultant will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and delivering governance required to rationalize downstream data flows following the FOX Upgrade Project. This role involves leading assessments, defining target-state data architecture, and creating a transition roadmap to a unified Golden Source Architecture. **Responsibilities:** **Discovery and Analysis (Phase 1):** + Conduct stakeholder interviews to identify systems referencing FOX + Map data flows and dependencies between FOX and downstream systems. + Document current-state system interaction diagrams and data lineage. + Prepare a discovery report outlining findings, risks, and recommendations. + Lead cross-functional workshops and capture decisions. **Design Governance (Phase 2):** + Lead requirements definition sessions for ingestion logic. + Produce functional and non-functional requirements. + Conduct solution design reviews with architecture and engineering teams. + Maintain design decisions, assumptions, and traceability documentation. + Govern alignment across data, architecture, and FOX teams. **Validation Oversight (Phase 3):** + Define parity validation strategy and acceptance criteria. + Lead data comparison reviews and defect triage governance. + Review test results and identify gaps and remediation recommendations. + Document discrepancies and provide resolution recommendations. **Transition Management (Phase 4):** + Define downstream group migration strategy. + Lead readiness assessment and cutover planning. + Produce migration runbooks and communication materials. + Govern risk assessments and mitigation strategies. + Lead go/no-go decision forum and document migration decisions. + Deliverables: + Comprehensive documentation packages for each phase, including system lists, dependency mappings, design and requirements artifacts, validation summaries, and transition plans. + Monthly status reporting and project governance documentation. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar) would be advantageous. + 5+ years' experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on data governance, system integration, and compliance within the financial services industry. + 5+ years' experience in designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures. + Proficiency in both Japanese and English, with strong communication skills in both languages to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. + Strong understanding of architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF or Zachman. + Proficiency in system integration, including experience with data mapping, ETL processes, and API management. + Familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms used in the financial industry, such as Client Systems or similar. + Experience in establishing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies. + Knowledge of data management best practices, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage. **Preferred:** + Familiarity with the regulatory landscape in financial services, particularly with SEC or similar regulatory requirements.
