As a subject matter expert (SME), you will architect, design, and implement solutions at the forefront of the industry—enabling seamless integration of crypto and blockchain technologies with RIA-focused custody platforms. These solutions will be developed and delivered in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards and requirements, ensuring compliance, security, and trust for all stakeholders. Your work will transform financial services for RIAs and set new standards for digital asset adoption, security, and scalability. In this position, you will collaborate closely with peer architects specializing in RIA solutions, Enterprise Architects, and teams responsible for core domain and cross-enterprise solutions, including order & portfolio management systems. Your leadership and technical acumen will be essential in shaping a cohesive architecture strategy that aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
This role requires a strong background in leading architecture strategy as well as hands-on experience throughout the implementation lifecycle. You should be comfortable influencing technology direction, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, integrated solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities:Serve as the SME and technical expert in integrating digital assets into RIA-focused custody platformsAddress complex technical challenges in multi-party interaction scenarios, architecting robust solutions that enable financial advisors to efficiently coordinate with a diverse ecosystem of partnersFacilitate the seamless delivery of digital assets integrated within the existing ecosystem and user flows for investment managementHelp define strategy, architecture, design, and implement solutions that enable the use of digital assets, ensuring security, scalability, and regulatory complianceCollaborate with peer architects, Enterprise Architects, and cross-functional teams, including those specializing in order management systems—to develop cohesive and forward-thinking architecture strategiesLead architecture strategy sessions and engage hands-on throughout the implementation process to tackle challenges and deliver high-impact solutionsStay current with industry trends in digital assets, blockchain, and financial technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the organization What you have Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions with major digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoin projects, for real-world financial applications10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (Java or .NET)5+ years of experience architecting scalable, highly available technical solutions; Web, UI/UX, microservices experience strongly preferredExperience architecting and building cloud-based or cloud-ready applicationsExperience with CI/CD (GitHub suite preferred)Proven experience architecting and integrating financial services applications with crypto and blockchain technologiesDemonstrated hands-on expertise in designing and implementing solutions that leverage digital assets for RIA or similar financial platformsStrong leadership record in architecture strategy and direct involvement in all stages of solution deliveryExperience working collaboratively with peer architects, Enterprise Architecture, and cross-enterprise technical teamsComprehensive understanding of order management systems and core financial domain architecturesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive consensus across diverse teamsProven ability to support production operations and provide Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise, including managing SLAs and SLOs to ensure system reliability and performanceFamiliarity with enterprise architecture management tools such as Application Portfolio ManagementKnowledge of architecture principles, costs, models, standards, and best practices of technology management, IT functions, processes, and projectsExperience with Agile development methodology and TDD/BDDKnowledge of both SQL (Oracle, Cloud SQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databasesDemonstrated experience in developing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging its suite of services for scalable and efficient solutionsIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
