This role can be based out of one our main offices: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Calgary, AB; Burnaby, BC. **In this exciting role, you will:** + Lead and coach project development teams in architecting ecommerce solutions that achieve business objectives while meeting enterprise architecture and IT principles. + Deliver solution blueprints and technical designs for ecommerce initiatives, including customer-facing and order-to-fulfillment capabilities. + Influence the evolution of enterprise architecture strategic goals and deliverables related to ecommerce platforms. + Evaluate and provide input into discovery initiatives, business proposals and project charters for new ecommerce capabilities and enhancements. + Evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and processes to improve ecommerce solution quality, scalability, performance, and reliability. + Analyze current technical solutions to ensure alignment with business processes, customer experience objectives and enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards. + Consult on recommendations for business process change with respect to total solution. + Analyze technical changes required to meet new ecommerce business goals. + Determine business and technical requirements for ecommerce solutions. + Partner with business stakeholders to translate ecommerce requirements into effective technical solutions. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with enterprise systems. + Engage with system integrators, SaaS vendors, and platform providers to review designs and ensure delivery quality. + Present and defend solution designs in architecture review boards and governance forums. **\#LI-Hybrid #LI-VJ1** **Job Requirements** **What you have to offer:** + An Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. + Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the development and deployment of software solutions in complex, distributed environments. + Strong technical knowledge of cloud-based architectures, integrations, APIs, and enterprise architecture standards (Azure preferred). + Experience designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures on Microsoft Azure. + Experience working with system integrators, SaaS vendors, and platform providers, including reviewing technical designs and holding partners accountable. + Significant experience in 3 or more distinct software development environments or platforms. + Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions to business goals. + Great breadth and depth of technical and business knowledge and strong familiarity with current and emerging technological capabilities. + Proven ability to architect, build, and deploy solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. + Strong storytelling skills to explain complex architectures in simple, business-relevant terms. + Effective communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a matrix organization. + Confidence presenting and defending solution designs in architecture review boards and governance forums. + Strong planning and execution skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple resources toward a common delivery goal. **Nice to have:** + Retail or omnichannel domain experience. + Experience with ecommerce, headless commerce, or composable architectures. + Experience integrating SaaS ecommerce platforms with ERP, OMS, CRM, and third-party services. + Experience working with SI partners, vendors, and platform providers. **Who we are:** We started in a small town in Nova Scotia but we are now in communities of all sizes across this great country.
