**JOB SUMMARY:**
This individual will collaborate across various domains to create integrated solutions exposed through partners, web, mobile, smart devices and voice channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of collaboration, designing, building, and implementing architectures that are highly scalable, resilient, secure and flexible. This individual will work with product owners, architects, software-designers and delivery leads across the organization to extend and introduce new technology into UGI, part of Customer Technology Acceleration platform.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
**Required:**
+ Minimum 10 years’ experience as a software/technical architect or technical engineering lead designing and delivering distributed, scalable and highly resilient enterprise applications.
+ Experience in regulatory compliances, data governance frameworks and risk management.
+ Experience creating conceptual and logical architectural diagrams, gaining stakeholder approval/alignment.
+ Ability to manage multiple solutions across multiple projects within tight timelines.
+ Ability to apply forward thinking principles and innovation to future proof business solutions.
+ 5+ years’ experience working with building and deploying distributed applications in Cloud environments.
**Preferred:**
+ Experience with design and development of enterprise applications for Customer Profile data with clear understanding of business processes that underpin them.
+ Strategic thinker, with 6+ years of developing and communicating comprehensive solution architectures/designs to peers, executives and stakeholders.
+ Excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to ask relevant questions regarding business and stakeholder proposals and get clarity about proposals. Ability to provide appropriate inputs and influence outcomes while fostering a collaborative environment.
+ Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and solutions in a manner that is suited for the audience being addressed.
+ Demonstrated ability to champion solutions that meet the desired business outcomes while also being resilient, performant and extensible while being practical and cost effective.
+ Experience in researching and evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends, standards, and products.
+ Experience with national and global legal legislation regarding data privacy and localization and solutions required to meet compliance.
+ Experience developing solutions designed for public cloud environments, adopting cloud native capabilities while doing so.
+ Ability to lead complex, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
The Solution Architect for UGI plays a pivotal role in defining and leading architecture solutions that support UGI business projects and objectives. This position is responsible for aligning stakeholders, guiding engineering teams through detailed design, and ensuring that architectural solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The architect develops integration solutions and reusable patterns that facilitate system and partner collaboration, while also leveraging tactical approaches to achieve long-term strategic goals. A key aspect of the role is identifying opportunities for technology reuse, migration, or retirement, ensuring that the technology landscape remains efficient and cost-effective.
In the realm of enterprise planning and execution, the architect is tasked with developing target state architectures and roadmaps for UGI. This involves evaluating current and emerging technology trends, creating reusable design patterns and best practices, and actively educating both the organization and service providers on these standards. The architect’s influence extends to fostering a culture of architectural excellence and compliance through IT governance activities, ensuring that all solutions adhere to established guidelines.
The Solution Architect also partners closely with cross domain teams, providing consultation to ensure consistent solution design and implementation. Prototyping and the creation of architecture artifacts are central to supporting project delivery. The role further encompasses cross-training, technology research, and conducting proof-of-concepts to assess the feasibility and business value of new technologies.
