We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of our Digital Banking Applications. This role is intended to augment the architecture function, operating in alignment with enterprise architecture direction and product strategy, and work collaboratively across the technical landscape.
This role works closely with a Senior Solution Architect and architecture leadership, collaborating with delivery, platform, and product teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical expertise with architectural thinking and is comfortable operating in complex, multi-tenant, and regulated environments.
. Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure digital banking solutions under the guidance of senior architecture leadership.
. Collaborate with business, product, and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into clear solution designs and technical specifications.
. Support development teams by providing architectural guidance, design reviews, and best-practice recommendations.
. Participate in the adoption and application of cloud-native and distributed system patterns.
. Assist in improving system performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability using modern technologies and engineering practices.
. Ensure solutions align with security, risk, and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
. Actively contribute to DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across environments.

Mobile & Channel Awareness
. General understanding of mobile application architectures for iOS and Android
. Awareness of mobile performance considerations such as caching, network efficiency, and backend optimization
DevOps & Delivery Practices
. Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment workflows
. Ability to participate in code reviews and architectural assessments to maintain code quality
. Exposure to GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD or Flux CD is an asset
Security & Compliance
. Strong awareness of secure design and development practices
. Familiarity with security controls and testing approaches such as SAST, DAST, and system hardening
. Experience working in regulated environments with compliance obligations
Soft Skills
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solution complex technical IT system
. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within distributed, cross-functional teams
. Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within an architecture practice and lead maturing technical members
Qualifications
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
. 7–10 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture roles
. Experience in digital banking, financial services, payment systems, or regulated enterprise platforms is strongly preferred
. Prior experience working within a multi-architect or enterprise architecture team

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,0000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
