SolidWorks Designer/Drafter

SolidWorks Designer/Drafter responsible for independently managing projects from approval drawings through fabrication release in a manufacturing/construction environment.

Job Requirements

3–7 years of experience in manufacturing or construction

Experience in architectural metals, millwork, or vertical transportation (preferred background areas)

Proficiency in SolidWorks, including creation of approval and fabrication drawings

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from design through release

Preferred Skills

Experience interpreting architectural drawings and Division 14/08 specifications

Experience coordinating with customers, engineering, and shop/production teams

Experience supporting material purchasing and production scheduling

Job Responsibilities

Prepare SolidWorks approval drawings and detailed fabrication drawings

Interpret architectural drawings and Division 14/08 specifications for accurate project execution

Communicate with customers for drawing markups, design clarifications, and scheduling updates

Coordinate material purchasing needs and production release timing with internal teams

Identify and report design, fit, or field issues to support quality control and project accuracy

Manage assigned projects independently from initial approval through fabrication release

Pay: 22-30

Pay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
