In the role of Solid Waste EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:Attend meetings on technical related issues with the client and other HDR supervising staff.Conduct waste characterization studies and other field related activities.Conduct research, perform data analysis, prepare reports, and other administrative work to help with projects.Assist with writing solid waste and zero waste plans.Assist in solid waste facility permitting and complianceProvide support on projects assisting clients with compliance of California legislation (SB 1383, AB 1826, AB 341).Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentationPerform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainagePerform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variablesPerform administrative duties associated with project management for solid waste projectsWork independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projectsPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionHazwopper 40 hour trainingProficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and GIS experienceRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
