PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Solder Production Technical Operator (PTO Quartz) to join our client’s dynamic team in Tucson, AZ. This position is a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of complex electronic assemblies that drive innovation across industries. If you have strong soldering skills and thrive in a technical, hands-on environment, this opportunity is designed for you.
Shift & Training: Begin with 30–60 days of training on 1st shift, then transition to 2nd shift with a $2/hr differential. Overtime is available.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform manual soldering, assembly, and automated equipment operations with precision and attention to detail.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair assemblies to meet strict quality standards.
Set up and maintain machines, including feeder repairs and preventative maintenance.
Identify and resolve process issues, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Provide guidance to less experienced operators, supporting knowledge transfer and team development.
QualificationsRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical coursework preferred.
4–5 years of relevant soldering or production experience.
Certifications as required by site operations.
Strong knowledge of board assembly, soldering specifications, SMT processes, and quality standards.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Familiarity with in-circuit/functional test fixturing.
Experience with documentation control systems and manufacturing applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
Proven ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
