About the Role:

Reporting to the Global General Manager – Solar, the Solar Sales Director – Americas is a pivotal senior leadership position that leads a high-performing, highly engaged commercial team across North and Latin America.

This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, increasing market share, and ensuring long-term customer retention by delivering tailored, high-impact solutions for the utility-scale solar market. Collaborating across global teams and functions, the Sales Director plays a key role in shaping our go-to-market strategy and operational excellence, powered by the Veralto Enterprise System (VES).

This position is part of the Solar Commercial Team and will be Remote.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Leadership & Market Insight

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across North and Latin America, cultivating future leaders and driving a culture of accountability and engagement.

Regularly go to Gemba—spending time in the field with customers and sellers—to gain firsthand insights into market trends, customer challenges, and competitor positioning.

Act as a visible leader in the solar business, partnering with peers globally to win strategic cross-border opportunities and align regional activities with global strategy.


Capabilities & Process

Apply Veralto Enterprise System (VES) tools to ensure clarity in commercial strategy, align team goals, and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

Champion best practices in value-based selling, opportunity qualification, funnel management, and Salesforce.com usage to improve win rates and forecast accuracy.

Assess and refine regional go-to-market strategies—including direct sales, channel partners, and key account programs—to optimize reach and profitability.


Planning & Execution

Set and cascade sales targets aligned with overall business strategy, ensuring each team member understands how their goals support broader company objectives.

Build and execute integrated short-, mid-, and long-term commercial plans to drive revenue, expand market share, and improve customer retention.

Analyze performance data and pipeline health to provide accurate monthly forecasts, identify risks and upsides, and lead commercial problem-solving where needed.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Service, and Finance to drive customer-focused innovation and position OTT HydroMet for future solar market growth.

The essential requirements of the job include:

10+ years of progressive commercial experience with at least 5 years in sales leadership roles.

Demonstrated success leading global or regional sales teams to exceed targets in complex markets.

Experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy markets strongly preferred.

Skilled in CRM-based funnel management (Salesforce.com a plus), value-selling, and customer journey optimization.

Proven ability to develop talent, foster accountability, and build a performance-driven culture.

Willingness to travel up to 50% across North and Latin America.

English required; Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $123,600 - $228,600 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Commission Pay.
