Conduct a literature review using current scientific methods and software to produce an annotated bibliography and summary that highlights existing knowledge, gaps, and emerging research. Perform statistical analysis of two microbial datasets using R or equivalent, applying multivariate methods to assess spatiotemporal patterns, and independently produce Word-ready reports and PowerPoint/Word-compatible figures while proactively resolving technical and microbiology-related challenges. Write and submit publications to CRREL BSB Soil Microbiology Team which includes all methods, results, and interpretation of analysis of microbial datasets: Completed in Word document or compatible program, free of errors/omissions. Characterize cold samples through culturing, isolation, and environmental analysis, applying multivariate statistical techniques in R or equivalent, and independently produce Word-ready reports and PowerPoint/Word-compatible figures while resolving technical and microbiology-related challenges. Perform experiments to characterize and test cold samples using published methods, apply multivariate statistical analysis in R or equivalent, and independently generate Word-ready reports and PowerPoint/Word-compatible figures while addressing technical and microbiology-related challenges. Perform experiments to characterize and test microorganisms in coordination with BSB staff, ensuring consistent analysis methods and providing all data and supplementary material to CRREL personnel. Present project findings and status updates at weekly Soil Microbiology Lab and Project Meetings, actively engaging with team members and contributing microbiology expertise.
