Software Test Technician
 

Job Summary:
Executes software validation tests for embedded systems using hardware-based fixtures, troubleshooting electrical components and documenting software defects.

Job Requirements: Associate Degree in a technical discipline (minimum); Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics, electrical, and software testing Proficiency in test engineering and executing test cases Electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical schematics Knowledge of basic lab equipment: Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, soldering equipment 6 months to 1 year of experience in wiring assembly Preferred Skills: Experience with software validation testing IPC-610 Certification Experience in Test Case Management Familiarity with building test fixtures for control software validation Job Responsibilities: Executes software validation tests for embedded systems following test steps, recording data, and documenting software defects Builds test fixtures to support controls software validation Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components and systems Reads and interprets electrical schematics and engineering drawings Conducts 90% software testing and 10% hardware testing using hardware-based fixtures

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
