Learn more about working with us at topconcareers.com **Topcon** **Positioning** is looking for a motivated and committed **Software Test Engineer ( Web applications)** Workplace: **TOPCON** Facility Centre in Italy – Concordia sulla Secchia ( MO) **The job can be performed 100% remote ( Italy)** **with visit to our Concordia office ONCE a week** **JOB PURPOSE:** + Software quality engineer for testing web applications and services. + Developing automated tests using Python and Playwright. + Analysis of test results. + Tight cooperation with developers and PM (requirements clarification, use cases). **Key Responsibilities** : + Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including documenting test cases with test steps, expected results, and actual results. + Analyze test results and report defects and bugs using a bug tracking tool, including detailed steps to reproduce the issue. + Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, including load and stress testing. + Provide feedback on software quality and make recommendations for improvements, including identifying and tracking software defects and issues. + Inspecting the web browser console messages to understand and detect potential errors, follow network activity to understand if issues are on the frontend or backend. + Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the product requirements, user stories, and use cases, and provide feedback on the feasibility of the requirements. + Create and maintain automated test scripts using a testing tool like Playwright. + Maintain test data and test environments to support testing activities. + Participate in code reviews to ensure code meets quality standards for automated tests. + Participate actively to create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. **Education, Skills, and Attributes:** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. + At least **2 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation.** + Technical skills - automation testing and knowledge of testing tools: Jira, TestRail. + Programming: Python, TypeScript, JS, HTML. + General skills – Attention to detail, problem solving, analytical thinking, communication, and adaptability. **What We Offer** + Motivated to work in a dynamic team. + Comprehensive training. + An attractive workplace with the most modern work equipment. + Independent, self-responsible work. + Permanent employment contract. + Performance-related remuneration.
