Job Description
Summary:As a Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to Rockwell Automation's DCB Business by participating in all aspects of software product testing. You will work with global cross‑functional teams, designing and completing manual and automated tests, developing test plans, participating in reviews, and ensuring products meet quality standards. You will collaborate in a global, multinational environment and play an active role throughout the development lifecycle. You will report to the Team Lead – Software Development and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities:(Develop test plans and test cases based on product and software requirements.Build tests, document results, and report progress.Perform manual and automated testing using scripting and test tools.Manage defects by reporting, reproducing, analysing, debugging, and resolving issues.Participate in reviews of designs, code, test cases, and documentation.Use automated test tools to ensure functional and regression coverage.Document issues, test results, and follow up on corrective actions.Collaborate with peers to prioritize tasks and support the development lifecycle.Stay updated on advancements in software testing and automation.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.At least 3 years of testing experience, including test lab and hardware setup.Experience with two or more technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, JSON, or XML.Experience writing test plans, test cases, conducting reviews, and generating reports.Awareness of software development processes and code collaboration tools.Knowledge of virtualized environments such as VMWare or VM images.Familiarity with test automation frameworks.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Experience in UI/UX design for web or desktop applications (e.g., Figma).Experience with test management tools such as qTest.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Jama.Experience with automation tools like Pywinauto or WebDriverIO.Familiarity with Rockwell Automation controllers and software tools.What We Offer:Our benefits package includes …
