The Opportunity:

Join our MSC IBS team as a Software Test Engineer Intern. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing quality assurance through the writing and execution of manual and automated regression tests. You will support developers by testing new software as it is completed and provide direct troubleshooting support to our customers. Your role will be central to ensuring our products deliver the reliable performance our customers require. You will utilize your skills to test and maintain robust software solutions, contributing to the innovation and enhancement of our development practices. Our software platform is developed and deployed on AWS cloud environments, and we are at the forefront of advancing analysis tools. Responsibilities:

Design and execute manual and automated test casesIdentify, document, and track defects in the systemCollaborate with developers to understand system functionalityDevelop and maintain test documentationEnsure test coverage and adherence to project requirementsProvide feedback and recommendations for improving quality

Qualifications:

Required: 

1 year of experience with functional testing.Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration)Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Ability to design and implement test cases for various software componentsFamiliarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated to explore new and better ways of improving our test performance and coverage.Must be currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program with a degree in Computer Science or related field.

Desired:

Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments.Experience with command-line scripting, such as Bash.Knowledge of performance and load testing toolsFamiliarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelinesExperience with API testing and tools (e.g., Postman)Knowledge of database testing and SQL queriesExperience with mobile application testing

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,900-$79,900
