Software & Research Engineer

Boeing Research & Technology META (Middle East, Türkiye, Africa) region is looking for a Software & Research Engineer to work in research projects related to full-stack development of production-grade model-based methods and software tools for data interoperability across multiple engineering design tools in our Istanbul office, Türkiye.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

Participate in agile activities including daily scrums, and planningAdhere to team development standards for software processes, tools and metricsAbility to work in an international team environment - on-site working schemaWorks with the Product Owner to confirm that the end product reflects the desired functionality

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experience with software development using Java and Spring Boot frameworkSolid understanding of OOP, Algorithms, Design Patterns and Code RefactoringExperience with frontend JavaScript frameworks, Angular, React JS, Node JSExperience with developing and executing unit and integrated test proceduresExposure to scientific software development in PythonBachelor, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with research & development of products and technologyKnowledge/experience in the Aviation Industry desirableExposure to Systems Engineering is favorableExperience in scientific software languages (e.g. Python, Matlab)Experience using dependency management (Maven, Gradle)Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and interfacesFamiliarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, dependency managementKnowledge of Git or other version control systems
