Join our team as a Release Management Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating the software release process for HPE Networking's SSR network product. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple technical teams, streamline automation workflows, and ensure seamless product delivery. What you’ll do

Own the release lifecycle for multiple products/services: planning, readiness reviews, coordinated cutovers, verification, and post-release learning.Run the release calendar and program cadences; align with other teams and organizations on scope, dates, and risk.Operate & improve CI/CD promotion flows (Dev → Test/UAT → Prod), enforcing approvals, gates, and progressive delivery.Execute and track release path work, validate entrance/exit criteria, triage blockers, and escalate with clear owners/ETAs.Maintain change records & evidence in Jira/Confluence for full traceability of features, tests, approvals, and outcomes.Manage incidents & rollbacks: publish playbooks, run go/no-go, coordinate cutbacks, lead post-mortems, and drive corrective actions with SRE.Publish stakeholder comms and release notes (internal/external), coordinate freeze windows, and communicate customer impact and maintenance windows.Drive continuous improvement against DORA “Four Keys” (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR); maintain dashboards and quarterly goals.Strengthen compliance & audit-readiness: ensure separation of duties, documented approvals, artifact provenance (SBOM/signing/checksums), and evidence trails.Coordinate hotfix/patch trains: severity-based gating, rapid restore paths, and back-port strategy.Managing merge train: providing support to the life cycle of the branches and merges of our software products.

What you bring

5–8+ years in Release Management/DevOps/SDLC ownership in SaaS, networking, or platform teams.Hands-on with Git & CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub), artifact management, and environment promotion workflows.Cloud-native fundamentals: dockers; familiarity with cloud (AWS/Azure); scripting (Python/Bash) for automation.Operational judgment: crisp communications under time pressure, data-driven go/no-go decisions, and the ability to influence without authority.Working software knowledge: Groovy & Python to create automation and CI/CD functions, and Tableau & Snowflake to review and retrieve results.

Nice to have

Experience in enterprise networking domains (campus/SD-WAN/data center), AIOps/observability, or HPE Juniper portfolio (Mist, Apstra, etc.).Exposure to progressive delivery & flags, infra-as-code (Terraform/Helm), and observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Kibana/ELK).Familiarity with: Kubernetes.

How we’ll measure success

DORA metrics trending positively (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).On-time, audit-ready releases with complete evidence and low incident/regression rates.Quarterly improvements in release predictability, automation coverage, and mean time to rollback.

Work location & schedule

Westford, MA, hybrid in office policies; occasional off-hours coverage

USD Annual Salary: $117,500.00 - $270,000.00
