Software Quality Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Software Quality Engineer with extensive experience in aerospace/defense industry software processes for compliance review and mentoring.

Requirements:

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred. Minimum of 11 years of directly related work experience with aerospace/defense industry software processes. Basic understanding of audit techniques and software development/testing methods. Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts for systems/software processes. Proficiency in software requirements development and coding (C/C++, Ada, or other embedded languages). Embedded software/hardware verification knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with government customers projects. Experience with FAA projects.

Responsibilities:

Interface with systems/software development personnel, test/evaluation personnel, and project managers. Quickly adapt to software process auditor work scope and technical requirements. Review/approve systems, software, and test equipment documentation for compliance. Participate with engineering counterparts on program activities for compliance assurance. Engage in the software change control process boards. Moderate travel may be required for program activities and auditing suppliers. Mentor/train junior employees as needed.

Pay Details: $52.00 to $70.00 per hour
